This is probably completely off the wall and way wrong, but does anyone else think it a strange coincidence that the character Bill Jacks from HBO’s John From Cincinnati has conversations with his bird and Kurt Vonnegut’s Kilgore Trout had conversations with a bird named Bill? I could dig into this hair brained idea of mine quite a bit more (like how Breakfast of Champions takes place in a fictional Ohio town), but since it is all likely a bit of lunacy on my part I will leave it here for now.
I know, probably just me being crazy. Since I’m crazy, I’ll share another little tangent… I’ve been using the name Billy Jacks online since 1996. I told you it was a tangent so what did you expect? I’m no Dr Doolittle though and I’ve not ever owned a bird.
